We are a trading company, not a manufacturer. Our impact is modest, but we take it seriously. From shifting freight to rail wherever we can, to working with suppliers on smarter packaging, UNIAX is making real, incremental changes. There is a long way to go β but we are on our way.
What We Are Doing
More Renewable Energy
Our Vienna office already runs on 100% green electricity. Across the company, about 30% of our power comes from renewables, and we are working to push that to 50% by 2028.
Shipping More by Rail
Over 60% of our freight moves by train β that cuts carbon emissions by about 70% compared to road-only haulage. For last-mile delivery, we team up with electric vehicle couriers.
Less Waste, More Recovery
We are exploring take-back schemes with a handful of project partners. Nothing is locked in yet, but the conversations have started.
Choosing Suppliers Carefully
ISO 14001 certification is our baseline. When two suppliers are equal in price and quality, we pick the one with the better environmental track record.

More rail freight partnerships in the pipeline β aiming for 65% of all shipments by train
